This lil scruffy badass is Snow. She’s… been a handful. She started off being a pretty vicious biter any time we tried to handle her. We got them as kits so naturally they were going to be nippy until we trained them not to be, which worked with the other two but for some reason Snow takes being scuffed as a personal attack rather than a sign of dominance so punishing her has always been a lot more difficult than with the other two. I swear she seeks vengeance if we’ve annoyed her. If she can’t immediately bite us at the time she’ll store her anger until she can bite us at a later point then after she’s done so she’s quite happy again.
When we went to the vet about getting them fixed it turned out Snow had an excess of testosterone in her body which made her look scruffier than the other two. By the time they were all going to get neutered Jess had gone into season but Snow had not. Obviously being neutered did wonders for her though. Her temperament has calmed considerably. She still bites if we scruff her but we’re able to pick her up if we’re careful in how we do it (diva or what?) though she does prefer my boyfriend to me. Her testosterone levels are normal now and she has the whitest and softest coat of all 3 of them. Coupled with that she always starts off her day exiting her cage puffing up her tail and doing a lap of the room to make sure all is well before starting to play granting her the nickname Puffy :)
